I will note that the only time the frames were different in the current body style 2500 and 3500 SRW was in 2013 when the SRW 3500 recieved the same gooseneck frame as the DRW 3500 while the 2500 still had the old 2500/3500 SRW frame. However, the 2500 recieved the same DRW 3500 frame in the 2014 and up trucks.
The 2500 Coil Suspension trucks have a different rear section frame from the 3500 trucks.
The basic frame is the same, the mount holes and points for model specific suspension brackets is what is different. This has nothing to do with a difference in frame towing or hauling capabilities.
