With the leaf spring suspension, the leafs are mounted inline with the frame and the shocks are on the inside of the frame. Notice how far the leafs are from the middle of the axle in the picture below. They are inline with the frame just like the shocks are on the coil springs suspension.
Can you stop feeding the troll and responding to him please? He clearly hates anything Ram related and will never stop.
