anaro, I did say the terrain. Flat roads, no curves. I live in the prairies. We don't have a friend with a vehicle to borrow and we aren't purchasing one ourselves at this time so I can't just go buy it now. It's another family member buying one that I will be able to borrow but I won't tell them when to buy based on my needs.
westend, I have no idea where you're getting the impression I'm bound and determined to try. All I'm asking for is opinions. I stated in the first post that if it can't be done, we won't buy the trailer.
Renting isn't an option as I called all the rental places and they don't get the towing packages on trucks and any that come standard with it they have you sign something agreeing to not tow. I have not found a places that rents vehicles to be used for towing.
