I would be asking much the same questions of myself as you';re asking. I would get a, "No, don't do it" from the little angel on my shoulder. :B
Maybe part of the reason I'd get that reply is that I've been involved in and seen what can go terribly wrong in an instant with towing. Starting with a disadvantage isn't for me.
There's also the concurrent aspect of effects on the towing vehicle and the MDX is an unknown-to-me in regards to wear, suspension, etc. I do have one Asian vehicle in the fleet and have owned a few. None of them were configured correctly for towing, even the Mazda truck.
Have you inquired about delivery charges? Maybe a third-party back-hauler in your area would give you a good rate?
