peejaykay, thanks a ton for your comments. Please report back once you get your trailer and what you think of the towing experience. What WDH did you get?
I took a look at the Andersen hitches online tonight and they look awesome. Of course it's one of those hitches where there are no dealers anywhere in my vicinity and the Canadian prices is way whacko compared to the US pricing. But they say under 60 pounds (a reviewer said 53 pounds) and look simpler to set up. One reviewer said you don't need to remove anything to back up, do you usually need to detach some of the WD hitch to back up?

As for if the wdh adds weight, get the Anderson as it us lightweight. Also, wdh tends to move some of the tongue weight back onto the tt as well so it will negate the weight added of the hitch.
