I took a look at the Andersen hitches online tonight and they look awesome. Of course it's one of those hitches where there are no dealers anywhere in my vicinity and the Canadian prices is way whacko compared to the US pricing. But they say under 60 pounds (a reviewer said 53 pounds) and look simpler to set up. One reviewer said you don't need to remove anything to back up, do you usually need to detach some of the WD hitch to back up?
I got an Andersen for a few reasons and it seems to work as well,as my old Equil-I-Zer did. It's far less weight, easy enough to attach/detach with no lifting-sweating-straining, and part stays on the trailer tongue & the hitch ball can remain on the truck. I like it!
