Just in from business news. The administration is holding a summit among industries to address the chip shortage.
Inclluded in the meeting is GM's CEO. And the national security -- meaning, it's being seen as a matter of national security and therefore most urgent.
But whatever they may come up with, this is a capital investment that would call for building manufacturing facilities, production capacities, etc.
And yes, there is no ifs and buts that this must be addressed and I'm happy that the administration see this also a need to be done domestically -- as we also realized when Chinese and Asian sources of our critical raw materials and sub-compomments shut-down due to Covid..
