- burningmanExplorer IIAnd its an F350 not a 450 like so many say is necessary.
$115k is an awful lot for it to have ugly painted steel wheels... - HMS_BeagleExplorer$115K and still not a comfortable place to sit....

For that kind of jack, I'd expect forged Alcoa's, mirror polished of course.
Maybe the dud ran out of funds and cheaped on the rims... - Kayteg1Explorer IIAll options camper sits on no options truck.
Doesn't look like it will be comfortable to drive.
What am I missing? - NRALIFRExplorerI suspect that's actually an F350 chassis cab, which is a little different animal than an F350 pickup with the bed removed. The highest trim level you can get in the C&C's is Lariat. An XLT is a rather plush tradesman truck.
I do see that it has the high capacity trailer tow package, which gives it a wide-track front axle like an F450 pickup and a much tighter turning radius. I think the C&C F350's have some axle options that aren't available to the F350 pickups, but these are still 8 lug rather than 10 lug so those aren't 19.5" wheels. I'm not sure of the axle types on this truck, the axle code indicates they are 4.30 LS. I think an F450 C&C would have been a better platform for this, and not much more price-wise.
:):) - jimh406Explorer IIII think a F450 would have been better, too. But, they do have screaming deals on F350s, and the stock F350 gearing probably gets better mpg.
- Kayteg1Explorer III traded F350 C&C dually this year and it did have very beefy suspension. The rear leaf pack was bigger than on my older F450 flatbed.
DW would not ride with me in it as it was teeth-grinder, so when that might make sense to use for such project, for 100+ grands you'd expect something more.
Aren't F450 C&C detuned? - From what I could see from the posted photos I would no longer consider this to be a TC, but a class C, it's no longer demount-able.
- Kayteg1Explorer III think there is something behind it that is not said.
For that kind of money you can buy more comfortable Sprinter-based ClassC, that will deliver much better mpg.
Maybe somebody just had a truck and wanted to add custom camper on it, maintaining pulling capacity.
But it still ain't SuperC
