Anyone who is heading to these parks please feel free to PM me with any questions as everything is still fresh in my head...of course there are others who have vastly more experience about the area that are very knowledgable and can provide even greater insight...either way it's without question worth the drive no matter where you are coming from.
As a side note we preferred the older smaller campgrounds in the park especially from a truck campers perspective...we avoided the larger parking lot type campgrounds where the larger Class A's and 5th wheels park. Just preference, but most of the older style campgrounds are not reservable so you'll want to follow advice about early arrivals if you choose to go this route!
