Yes, that is a long tt and yes, your mileage probably will suffer a bit in the higher elevations, but I personally wouldn't change units just for that reason. If you plan your trip carefully you can get there without any major challenges or extremely long distances between fuel stations. Many units with mileage worse than yours go there. Private cg's well probably be your best bet for that size. Have a great trip!
