I'm telling you these new gasoline Chevy pickups get lousy mileage. My son bought an 013 1/2 ton, extended cab last December and he gets 16 mpg. He doesn't tow anything. We have an 03 Silverado 2500HD, crew cab, shortbed, Duramax/diesel with the Allison transmission and went on a 3200 miles trip in June towing our 37' 5th wheel that weighs about 14,500 loaded and got 13.5 mpg overall. Solo, we get 21-22 mpg. A diesel mechanic told us ours was a better truck than the new ones!
