Good for you and hope you post the ratings for your half ton...as many newbies
like you, will assume they are all the same
One lurker PM'd me wanting to sue one adviser here who espoused similar claims
as you have...even saying been doing that for years and years with no problems...but
turned out he did not have a 'regular' half ton, but one of the fake half tons...
That poor guy who took that guys advice ruined his vacation when his F150
burned up its differential. Spent all of his money & then some on the motel,
mechanic, etc stuck in the middle of no where for a few days. Even lost his
deposits down in Florida...he and family had to return home with credit card
bills to pay...
Told him the advice here is worth the price paid...nothing and that
there is only one person responsible for the setup...the driver.
And that could have been his spouse who did NOT select & setup the TV
So, what are your F150's ratings? GVWR, FGAWR and the biggie RGAWR
PS...most gassers get about the same MPG towing heavy...not matter what sized
ICE going similar MPH/inclines/etc...called the amount of energy to move
the same/similar trailer at the same MPH & Inclines.
