Reading threads like these make me wonder how my father in law managed to drag a 28' (or so) travel trailer all over the lower 48 for more than 10 years with a 1/2 ton Suburban. The Suburban even had the 6.2 Detroit under the hood which must have been taking up most of his payload capacity.
