You sound like us - 2011 F150 EB, Max Tow, 35' Open Range LT272RLS. According to those here, we're both rolling deathtraps. Yet, I bet few have actually done it.
Our combination works very well, just like yours. Been in the "mountains" of PA, no issues up and down. Been on the highway and yes we do get blown around at times but so was the 18 wheeler in front of me. Either I'm an idiot or something but we really don't get blown around by passing semis. You feel it but from what I read it's the same in just about all configurations.
About the only issue I have is some porpoising on certain stretches of highway. I'm thinking airbags to fix that.
Sure, we may upgrade to something bigger when I get tired of the F150 but for now it works well for us. I could dig a hole for a small tree in the back yard with a backhoe or a shovel. Both are appropriate tools. Same with a truck working in it's design parameters.
