No, it's likely. It has a different number of lugs on the wheels (7 vs 6), possibly the leaf springs are mounted differently (it does come with heavier springs) but a lot of it is just marketing. The shafts have a different part number (see lug comment), the axles do not. It's been beat to death on the F150 forums. People are not burning up differentials because they don't have a 'fake' half ton. It's the same axle.
Slight clarification, the 2015 Hd payload option DOES NOT have 7 lug nut wheels. All wheels for the 150 are 6. This is evident in Jerimiah's screen shot.
