Word games abound. Why don't people simply say, "I have a tow vehicle with 2,000 pounds payload and it handles 1,500 without any problem", or "I only have 1,200 pounds of payload and feel uncomfortable with 1,500 pounds", rather than all this half ton, five eights ton, three quarter ton stuff? Some new folks might believe that any of the pretty F-150's and 1500's on the lot can really tow 12,000 pounds like the commercials and the guy on the Internet said.
