yose guys lied to me !

When ST tires are spoken of it always comes up that they have a speed rating of 65 MPH . The tires that I am looking at have a speed rating of 106 MPH .Carlisle st 205 75 15 .
If I had them last summer when I went to Maine I could have got there twice as fast !
Many , many everyday ST tires have a speed rating in the 80 MPH range ,look it up !
If you see a Ram truck with a 26 foot trailer going a 100 MPH it will be me !

    Just as a truck pulling a TT passed us going 80+ I mentioned to my wife that he was probably exceeding the speed rating of his tires. Seconds later one blew and fortunately we were not struck by flying debris.

    Our last TT had ST tires good for 75 and I drove the speed limit so I didn't go over 75 often, but I did now and then. I also checked the air in them a couple times a year or if they look soft.
    I think many people ruin tire, brakes and bearings by meddling with them too much

    It's not the fact that you can go that fast, it's what happens when something goes wrong.

    I didn't know that the tires had a rating. what got me to slow down was the gas. The first trip I wanted to know if the old Ford could keep up with traffic at 75-80 MPH. I did and sucked the gas down at a high rate. I used half the gas on the way home slowing down to 65 MPH.

    YES....

    Carlisle ST trailer tire speed ratings have been raised in recent years.

    Carlisle had to do something to compete with LTs

    are you sure it says MPH not KPH ?
