That is why ASIAN manufacturers build in lot more " beefing up" as they know they will be overloaded. Weight Police can be savage here, if you have an excessive load
We trend to downrate vehicles, a Sprinter 3500 rated to tow 7, 500lb in the US, has a 4,400lb rating in Australia. A Ford SuperDuty F250 with a 6.7 Diesel gets a 4.5 tonne rating(9'900lb) or a 5tonne (11,000lbs) with a stronger hitch
