The "Bog Queen". 2002 Lance 915, bought 2009. Moderate water damage in the rear. Steep learning curve and 6 weeks of repairs before the first trip.However.... hooked on TCs ever since.

I started with other RVs. I’ve only had one the 2006 in my signature although I’ve had it on both a F350 SRW Supercab and my current F450 DRW Crewcab.

First the 916 Lance and now the Palomino. Same 1997 Ford F350 the whole time. Don't ever plan on getting a new truck, maybe another camper. Next one will either be a Northstar pop up or an Alaskan, undecided.Only way I'd get a new truck is if someone offered me what paid for it. Interestingly, the ACV increases every year. It's over 22K now.The 97 OBS crew cab in 4x4 is in great demand. People want the Dana 60 front end and the corporate 10.5 with a pre emissions 7.3.

Here is the one that started it for me. My Dad bought it so we could both use it. It was amazing in so many ways but the biggest thing was how heavy it was!! That truck was like a tank - double steel fuel tanks, steel rims and everything solidly built. Add the camper and I am sure that we were triple the load rating of the truck. The camper was NEVER taken of the truck, no jacks to do it so was not even thought of. It was secured in the truck with bed mounts. My Dad sold it so he could go with a VW Vanagon as the gas mileage with the truck and camper was slightly above 0 mpg :B My first truck camper was slightly lighter as I learned a lesson. 1992 Northern Lite and a 2002 GMC 2500HD.
