Looks like maybe a concept idea, maybe purposely over the top. The public gets "groomed" to accept a new trend in the direction of such outstanding concepts.
Automobile concepts aren't always initially perfectly practical either, but rather explore the publics acceptance of new styling for the most part. Consumers absolutely do fall in love with the "looks" of products as a primary motivation. And, of course, some hate the change. Perhaps TT's will look like this in America's future. We certainly follow European Auto styling (particularily German, Italian) whether we want to admit it or not.
