The 13 and up RAM 3500's are great trucks with everything beefed up. The ratings are SAE J2807 Compliant numbers.
Or go find a nice Volvo 610 or 670. Lots available with manual tranny's. RVers license them as RV's.

A used HDT truck is usually a bunch cheaper than a new pickup and you will never have to worry about your tow capacities again! Or having enough power! Or breaking! And how about heavy duty smooth riding Air Suspension?
And I'll say again....WITH a HDT, you park and run around town in a HDT???? Doesn't sound like a whole lot of fun to me..These 1 ton dually's have come a long way in the last 2 years, This isn't "old school"...it's not now a necessity to tow a heavier 5er with a HDT..I want a truck that I can tow my 5er with, unhook and run around all over the place should I so choose to do that...but my 4 wheel drive, long bed crew cab dually can be taken just about anywhere I want to go after towing my 5er and parking it where I'm going to camp...and I can use it 12 months out of the year, every day of the year for one thing or another..It's my daily driver...MOST WILL NOT do that with a HDT,,,,years ago the HDH was a MUST to tow a heavier 5er with, don't see where it's necessarily needed now a day's unless you're going to tow around your stick built home. Air ride might be greatest thing since the wheel....but you don't miss something you've never had and my truck has me riding in the lap of luxury and my 5'2" wife, my two boxers, my little granddaughters and grandsons can all climb into my truck cab and exit as easy as you please.
Those who are comparing breaking power, and towing power??? heck, my truck in T/H with EB on aggressive with my sissy 16,300# hooked to it will almost come to a stop going down a mountain when I remove my foot from the throttle pedal...comfort??? heck, I could ride in this truck for hours and hours and feel good about doing it...oh, towing up mountains, when towing, I've yet not been able to pass an 18' wheeler if I had to...how much more pulling power do I need???
"IF" I had a HDT, I'd STILL need another vehicle to go to and from work with, I'd STILL need another vehicle to run around town in...so this "cheaper than a new pick-up", may not be that much cheaper if at all if you have to go that route....but I'm not real sharp, so I'm going to drive and tow in my little ole, under powered pick up truck and let others get those awesome deals on the HDT's.....I got around $52K tied up in my truck..and it'll probably last for as long as I do...so it's a wash.....
