Well, it is a measure of the tow vehicle's torque, horsepower and gearing with the particular trailer it pulls. If it doesn't have the horsepower and gearing to accelerate well, then how will it have the horsepower and gearing for that 9% incline?

The ability to get a TV and trailer to speed is a VERY valid criteria, they are talking flat course. I have seen, bveen on many up hill on ramps, I don't like trying to merge at 45 into traffic going 55 to 70 mph!!
