Probably 30 seconds or more for our smart car pulling our tent trailer. But then again, smart cars are standards so the the first 10 seconds or more is just getting the clutch engaged and getting into second where the acceleration starts. On ramps are seldom approached from zero miles per hour so I am not sure the validity of this kind of test. As far as being an indicator on how the vehicle holds the grade I think that's more a matter of being in the right gear and keeping it in the sweet spot on the torque zone. I would guess our diesel pusher is slower than the smart car.
