I'm still working on my truck. This video shows installing a Blue Spring Kit and completes repairs to the fuel supply system. I now have constant 65 PSI fuel delivery but still have code PO283 from injector #8, circuit high. I'm trying snake oil in the oil and fuel system to see if it will clear out a possible "STICTION" problem. I'll go for a drive today, put some miles on to see if the problem goes away. Two codes have disappeared. Same high circuit code on #1 PO262, and a Contribution code on #8. I'm hoping if those codes have gone away, the last remaining code will also go away. I believe I can safely say the HPOP, high pressure oil system is functioning properly since there are starting issues, hot or cold and I read good oil pressure, the coolant and oil gauges measure nearly the same temperature which tells me my coolant filter is keeping the oil cooler clean and there is little if any clogging buildup in it. If the #8 injector fails to clear, I will change out all the injectors. The reason is that the fuel pressure regulator had a smashed and cut O-Ring in it causing low fuel pressure, lower when under load which is a major cause of fuel injector damage. in 6.0 liter engines. Since I will be going fairly deep into the top end of the engine, I will also be changing and installing the updated dummy plugs and stand pipes with the plastic reinforcing disc for the O-Rings. New glow plugs too since they are relatively cheap. All Motorcraft parts because everything I read says anything else is a failure waiting to happen. I'll keep you posted what my next steps are.
