Yup, most states and ins companies won’t insure a med duty truck like a light duty.
Progressive can kma though. Dropped those fuggers about 8-10 years ago.
I check rates every year or 2 to keep my ins co honest and since the Rona, insurance prices have gone way up round here (and everywhere).
So far, no one can touch AmFam the last couple times I checked. Hell, Mutual of Enumclaw basically called me uninsurable as a 50 year old, great driving record, but one “at fault” with my kid a couple years ago from a hit and run tweaker, high as **bleep** with no insurance. Cops in Black Diamond even arrested him directly afterwards. AmFam called it at fault even though other guy got multiple tickets and tossed in jail. They burned the accident forgiveness ticket up because they could.
Car insurance has gotten bad in the last few years. My other kid, his car insurance doubled in FL last year. Good record, bad hurricanes….
Good luck but try AmFam. Cars, house, boat, umbrella etc they are still low as of 6 months ago.

Not sure you know this but American Family only sells insurance in 19 states. If the OP (or anyone else interested) is in one of the other 31 states (or Canada), American Family ins won’t be a viable option.

we would be able to register it the same as a F450, F350, F250 or a F150 up here. In BC all trucks are registered as "commercial" but for your insurance you can just list them for personal use, or pay more if you drive it to work over a specific distance and so many times a month, or pay even more money if you use it for work
