- HadEnoughExplorerDrove it for the first time, signed a title and handed over some $$$. :)
- MORSNOWNavigator IIILoaded up the camper for the first time this year, even got the DW to help and learn. Took the winter cover off, put away all of the underneath support pallets and timbers, and got her loaded up (after about 8 back under/pull out attempts to get square and centered). Then it was time to drain the water system of the antifreeze, and then run some bleach through everything, and rinse the system out. No surprises popped up thank god! Just need to reload everything up that was removed before storage and ready to go!!!
- finaddictExplorerDoubled up my solar power and added a 2nd 100 watt panel. Now I just need 2 6v deep cycles and I will have very solid power capabilities.
- TCdudeExplorerPressure washed the exterior, started replacing all non-SS bolts with SS bolts (200 down, 160 to go). Re-Sealing all exterior side, front and back Seals. Scraped and redid the whole roof with dicor sealant. Sanitized the water tanks. Ice cleaned the Black tank, cleaned the whole interior. Topped off the battery. Still have plenty to finish up before first camping trip next weekend. Feels good to get all this maintenance done, except in the wallet.
- RbertalottoExplorerInstalled my Load Equalizing Hitch with some VERY interesting findings using a tape measure and a trailer tongue scale. I wrote an article about it on my web page. Too long for here.
www.rvbprecision.com - WVbassmistressExplorerWashed outside and started sorting out what we are taking to this week's Southeast TC Rally in Gatlinburg!!! Hope to see many of you there.
This has become one of my biggest chores (the sorting not the washing). With limited storage, I have to decide what can stay home for the short trips and what has to go for the long ones. Bikes or no bikes, dining canopy or no dining canopy, lounge chair for Mommy (me) or no lounge chair, extra gray water tank or no extra tank... the list goes on. But it's a good thing!! Means there is a trip headed my way!
Happy camping to all!!! - _DJ_1Explorer IIReplaced the propane sniffer. Old one was 9 years old and I didn't trust it anymore. Wow, they don't give those away!!
- JoeChiOhkiExplorer IIGot a little further into the interior demo on the Amerigo, and dropped money on parts.
Going to order a new A/C unit and sell the roof unit I bought used last year, its too large for the Amerigo.
Bought:
250ft 12/2 Romex
7 - 100ft rolls of the 12gauge Automotive wire in all the major RV colors
2 Vintage style thin lite fluorescent fixtures (Sorry, I like them better than LEDs)
Kreg Rip-Guide (I don't have a table saw)
Progressive Dynamics PD4045 Power Distribution Center - Reality_CheckNomad IIInstalled a new slide topper on our 1150. Ordered it a couple of months ago, just been to busy (playing too). Last night was a nice evening, so...
Took two hours. 20 min gathering tools, caulking, ladders and unwrapping the package. 20 min reading the instructions and 10 min determining that the instructions were way to complicated.
Got it on, easy peasy. Glad to get it done. We camp all year; this should slow the intrusion of crappy stuff (can't say c r a p on this site) inside and ease the work load of cleaning the top off. - Buzzcut1Nomad IIPut it back on the truck after the body shop re-bent and re-aligned the driver door of the truck. Cab is totally quiet at freeway speeds (took it up to 75) vs a really loud air leak whistle that we had. Bet $160.00 I have spent in a while
Frames 1&3 are the before shots 2&4 are after the body work ( truck came that way when we bought it used)
