- trail-explorerExplorerNot a truck camper, but this could apply to a truck camper too:
I installed some new lights over each bench of the dinette.
There's a light over the dinette, which works great during the day, but at night, it's way too overpowering (bright) when I'm using my laptop.
The brightness, plus the fact that the light is shining (glaring) at my eyes was kind of annoying.
I found some small low profile surface mount lights that looked like a good solution. I tapped in to the wiring behind the stereo, where the wiring for the dinette light is, and added a switch for the new lights.
This is the lights I used, in warm white with a stainless trim ring:

Winterized my camper using RV Antifreeze. Kind of a shame that it gets so cold that I have to.
I winterized mine a few weeks ago. It's been a really mild November here in Spokane so far. Last week it was below freezing a few nights in the middle of the week, but it's been 38 and above since then.- Bob__BExplorerWent out and fired up my small electric heater and put the furnace fan on low.....got down to 25.
Gotta keep it thawed out for a couple days til I head down to Mississippi for a couple of weeks. - jimh406Explorer IIIWinterized my camper using RV Antifreeze. Kind of a shame that it gets so cold that I have to.

Finished installation of my rear view camera and pulled the boat behind it for the first time..... being able to see everything going on back there with the camera is NICE.
I'm going to have one of these installed when I put my camper back on my truck in early spring.
I already have an in-dash TV but didn't want a camera hooked to it.
I finished resealing, deep cleaning, sanitizing and winterizing my new to me camper yesterday.
I just need to get it covered up for the winter. - RubiranchExplorerSpent the day cleaning the previous owners out.
Its not bad at all but they didn't pay much attention to detail.
Replaced kitchen faucet.
Washed all the bedding.
Tomorrow, find tiny drip under bathroom faucet and start resealing everything.
And the next day, more of the same. LOL - 92GreenYJExplorerSooooooo much wiring! Two 100 watt solar panels on the roof. MPPT controller mounted in the microwave cabinet. Pulled a **** ton of wires down from the roof thru the fridge vent. Wires for solar panels, led flood lights and wake tower speakers. Also routed the wiring from the charge controller down thru there and wires for the cabinet I sacrificed to be my AV cabinet. Ran two gauge from the front compartment back along the side rails and into the passenger side rear compartment where my second battery bank is going. 200 watt inverter, buss bars, power distribution blocks, circuit breakers, fat power fuses, two 4 way battery selector switches, 12 circuit fuse panel, the list goes on. Hope to get it pretty well buttoned up tomorrow as I have three days until it's maiden voyage.
- JoeChiOhkiExplorer IIPrepped it for winter weather and packed in my dedicated work bench to protect it from the rainy winter weather.
Work on it will be slow for a while. - anutamiExplorer IIISick of carrying bottled water around, installed 3 stage water filtration system
