- dakonthemountaiExplorerYay! I drove it home from Metro RV in Burbank back up the mountain...and tucked it back in the RV port. I had installed the following: New Midi Heki Vent, New outside shower dome, AND 2 new Optima AGM batteries! Yes, I could have done all this myself, but as I've noted recently, family obligations preclude spending that much time. Now once I recover from the sticker shock of all this I'll wash the rig and be off on a first of the season local trip ! :)

- jimh406Explorer IIIMeasured the height of it's future home. Unfortunately, just 9'10". I guess I'll have to put it on a dolly or trailer to get it inside the 24' x 48' building. Plenty of room otherwise.
- RubiranchExplorerExercise is a good thing.
At least that's what I've been told. - FarmerjonExplorerOur camper jacks hve been noisy and getting worse every year and we finally replaced all 4 before they failed completely.
The old ones were hand cranks and we replaced them with the same.
We have 4 handles and we both do the cranking and we store the camping on stands that are truck bed height so it's not a big job.
Cranking them all the way back up after the camper is on the truck is the biggest part of the job and we could use portable drills to do that but the exercise doesn't hurt us - d3500ramExplorer IIIIf you need to replace the outside shower and if it does not have shut-off valves I would recommend adding one to each of the H&C lines.
My camper did not have these but I added them so I can keep the small portion of hose isolated and filled with RV AF in the winter while still using the inside plumbing. I do not want to risk water getting to the shower head in cold weather camping. Not sure why camper mfgrs don't install a set of these valves? - I keep thinking about replacing the outside shower unit. I think I forgot to winterize it 2 years ago. It didn't work last year.
