To vent under my mattress, I laid two 4x8 sections of 3/8" cedar fence lattice. Works great allowing air flow under mattress and not expensive. I also laid and sealed 1" RMAX foamboard and sealed it down under the lattice. The bed is much warmer in the very cold.
ya cedar lattice would work, but then you would have the smell off of it and the staining from its oils. plus the fact it seams to fall apart every time you try cut it haha. I am very happy with this stuff, its a bit grippy so nothing moves around, I was able to do the floor of the big outside storage compartment and still have a bunch left for what ever I decide. I don't need the foam with the new camper, it is already very very well insulated, but ya that was the plan in the old camper if I kept it.
