The PlatCat uses and exhausts very little air... the square inches of openning needed is very small.
Since the replacement cold air isn't pulled through the camper we never feel it... and the oxygen in the camper isn't used for combustion.
The latch holds the door open just the right amount... and is prevented from opening any further by the platcat itself and the original latch keeps if from closing.
