Angela and Ross here. We bought our 2022 Forest River 27RK two years ago, and now that we are both retired we are starting out on our dream journey we have been planning since we signed on the dotted line in March 2022. We are heading out on the 26th of June 2024 and travelling to every province in Canada and state in the United States - yes we did Hawaii in November - without our trailer. We won't be returning home until the 30th of August 2025.  If you are out there let us know, looking to connect with other travellers.

wow!  That sounds like a grand adventure. Only advice I would offer is stay flexible, there will be “bumps” in the road.

What a grand plan! I'd start north and work my way south in the fall.

Regards, Don
My ride is a 28 foot Class C, 256 watts solar, 556 amp-hours of Telcom jars, 3000 watt Magnum hybrid inverter, Sola Basic Autoformer, Microair Easy Start.

That is what we are doing, we have some of our schedule on our website ourlifeandahighway.com and will be adding more of the schedule once we hit the road.  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, as most of our campgrounds listed are tentative and what we have found on line.

Hi All, My wife and I are recently retired and we purchased a new Jayco North Point 5th Wheel.  We're looking to join a travel club in Southern California to see some of the local sites.  Please share with us any recommendations you may have for good travel clubs.  Thanks.

Hello Fellow Travelers! Spending my first weekend in my new Winnebago Access 30BH. Bought it from Camper World in Biloxi MS. I drove over to Biloxi Bay RV resort! So far so good. I’m learning a lot, but I know I’ve go a long way to go. Gonna do small trips from home. I’m looking to retire in about a year, so by then I should be ready for long trips all over the country. Maybe I’ll run into some of you fellow adventurers!

Howdy ya'll.  Recently retired dual-military couple here.  Just purchased a 2024 Forest River Campsite reserve 26CJ.  Just took her about 1k miles round trip to visit some family, on her maiden voyage.  All is well.

Thank y'all for serving!!

Hi..

Ken & Donna here. We purchased a 2016 Equinox for the express purpose of towing a "small" RV. It took us a couple of years but we found a used Venture Sonic Lite that had been out only once.  To improve towability, I had some shock absorbers installed (if you have a small tow vehicle this is a wonderful idea). If anyone needs plans for this, let me know and I can send you some ideas.

Since then we have been enjoying the great world of RV'ing.

Hello all,

My wife and I recently purchased a bunkhouse travel trailer to live part-time in. With hopes to upgrading to a fifth wheel down the road.

I work in commercial HVAC in central Missouri as we are still figuring out the whole RV life adventure.

We sure do have a lot to learn going forward, and look forward to gleaning what we can from those who have experience to share.

Hello everyone!

my name is Stephen and have just purchased a Class B 2022 Mercedes Sprinter 3500 Airstream Atlas to take to my racing events & travel/vacations to the southwest areas of the United States 🇺🇸

I am a single guy that loves to travel with my (2) Dalmatian dogs 🐶 🐶 and meet new people with discovering new and exciting places throughout the States.

I am also looking forward to reading posts on this site and also throwing out questions from time to time to the group for assistance as I don’t fully know everything about this rig yet.

Stay safe out there and enjoy the beautiful scenery that traveling has to offer!

Afternoon everybody, I am not new to RVing, just new to GS, have owned and camped in Cabover truck campers, bumper pulls, pop-ups, 2 fifth wheels and a 41’ gooseneck horse trailer w/full living quarters, now we are on our first motor coach, 36’ Itasca Sunova. This weekend will be both a maiden voyage for GS, and for the coach. Going to Rocky Point on Wright Pathan.

New to RVing, but have been thinking about it for a while. Had the opportunity to basically live out of my SUV for over a year.  Was staying in hotels for a very short time and decided I preferred my SUV instead. I came to discover that I enjoyed the freedom and flexibility. I was always close to home , but I actually enjoyed being on the road.  It wasnt really a trip but I guess a test drive of what life is like on the road while being close to home.  I was forced to live in my SUV due to circumstances outside my control, but luckily I know how to adapt to situations pretty well.  I guess I am a survivor of sorts. So I've been watching tons of YouTube videos on everything related to camping glamping while nursing a pretty bad leg injury due to autoimmune issues and a recent fall.  I have come up with some pretty good information that should help.  I have waty over year plus on the road so that gives me the confidence that I need to even give this a try.  Thoughts?
