Hello,

This is Shayna and Pete we just bought our first travel trailer. We bought a 2022 Grand design imagine and are going on our first trip today. We decided to do a 20 minute from home site  to be safe in case what can go wrong does go wrong! We love to travel and have been all over the US for music festivals and site seeing. We recently did a stay in Vegas to see SOAD and visited Zion, The Grand Canyon, and Petrified Forest. We drove from east Texas to all of these places and stayed at an air b&b. This trip was our deciding factor to take the leap and by the travel trailer. Cannot wait to meet more of you and hear about your journeys!

Hello campers,

I ended up on this forum after being a member of RV.net for years. We used to own a Jayco Designer 12F5 popup but sold it a few years ago during the COVID era.  We just doesn't use the camper that much anymore. So, we let it go to a young family who would use it. It's been awhile since I've been to the forum and was surprised to see RV.net is now good Sam. Still getting used to the new page. Anyway, I may have a chance to buy a 32ft travel trailer that is currently on a lot in a resort on a lake. All of our children have graduated high school and now it's just me, the wife and our 20 year old son who still lives at home. Camping on a lot will be way different than pulling our popup from site to site. But I can't pass up this deal for a summer vacation spot on a lake that we can use anytime... Not just one week per summer like we do when renting a cabin. I can't wait!

Angela and Ross here. We bought our 2022 Forest River 27RK two years ago, and now that we are both retired we are starting out on our dream journey we have been planning since we signed on the dotted line in March 2022. We are heading out on the 26th of June 2024 and travelling to every province in Canada and state in the United States - yes we did Hawaii in November - without our trailer. We won't be returning home until the 30th of August 2025.  If you are out there let us know, looking to connect with other travellers.

wow!  That sounds like a grand adventure. Only advice I would offer is stay flexible, there will be โ€œbumpsโ€ in the road.

What a grand plan! I'd start north and work my way south in the fall.

Regards, Don
My ride is a 28 foot Class C, 256 watts solar, 556 amp-hours of Telcom jars, 3000 watt Magnum hybrid inverter, Sola Basic Autoformer, Microair Easy Start.

That is what we are doing, we have some of our schedule on our website ourlifeandahighway.com and will be adding more of the schedule once we hit the road.  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, as most of our campgrounds listed are tentative and what we have found on line.

Hi All, My wife and I are recently retired and we purchased a new Jayco North Point 5th Wheel.  We're looking to join a travel club in Southern California to see some of the local sites.  Please share with us any recommendations you may have for good travel clubs.  Thanks.

Hi,

I like this site: https://freecampsites.net/

Hello Fellow Travelers! Spending my first weekend in my new Winnebago Access 30BH. Bought it from Camper World in Biloxi MS. I drove over to Biloxi Bay RV resort! So far so good. Iโ€™m learning a lot, but I know Iโ€™ve go a long way to go. Gonna do small trips from home. Iโ€™m looking to retire in about a year, so by then I should be ready for long trips all over the country. Maybe Iโ€™ll run into some of you fellow adventurers!

Howdy ya'll.  Recently retired dual-military couple here.  Just purchased a 2024 Forest River Campsite reserve 26CJ.  Just took her about 1k miles round trip to visit some family, on her maiden voyage.  All is well.

Thank y'all for serving!!

Hi..

Ken & Donna here. We purchased a 2016 Equinox for the express purpose of towing a "small" RV. It took us a couple of years but we found a used Venture Sonic Lite that had been out only once.  To improve towability, I had some shock absorbers installed (if you have a small tow vehicle this is a wonderful idea). If anyone needs plans for this, let me know and I can send you some ideas.

Since then we have been enjoying the great world of RV'ing.

Hello all,

My wife and I recently purchased a bunkhouse travel trailer to live part-time in. With hopes to upgrading to a fifth wheel down the road.

I work in commercial HVAC in central Missouri as we are still figuring out the whole RV life adventure.

We sure do have a lot to learn going forward, and look forward to gleaning what we can from those who have experience to share.
