New to Good Sam. Downloaded app but having lots of trouble using it.  Can not figure out how to get the Good Sam Membership card downloaded to my wallet to use at Flying J's for the discounts etc.  Any help would be appreciated.   Thanks.

Did you look on your profile. My husband and I just talked to Flying J and they told me I needed a card to scan so I called cs at Good Sam and requested one.

I can't figure this out either.  How do I get the discount at Flying J?

Hi, new to the site and RV life.  My wife and I are searching for a class C to visit our grandchildren once a week so we can stay overnight in a campground.  So I guess you would say part time living.  Looking to buy used and of course get an inspection.  I’ve been researching and truthfully some of the manufacturing horror stories are a bit scary.  So, wish me luck lol!

Good luck!  You will love it.  And have you already found one? We have a 24’ listed near Minneapolis.

Hey all. We bought our very first camper in April and I swear it's been nothing but issues since. We purchased a "new" 2023 Coleman Lite 2755BH. They were supposed to go through the camper and make sure everything was good prior to pickup but they didn't. The toilet was in the wrong position and the lid wouldn't even go all the way up, it wasn't even tightened to the floor. The plumbing in the bathroom wasn't connected and we didn't find out until we flushed the system using the port on the exterior of the camper. None of the drawers in the camper are on tracks because the screws came out at some point while someone at the dealer was using it or in transport. The battery was completely dead. Oh and the best part, after three weekends of trips and three 20 lb LP tanks later we realized they never checked the refrigerator because it was never plugged in, no wonder the propane was being used so quickly. At this point we have horrible feelings about CW and are extremely concerned we just bought a giant money pit. This was supposed to be a great way for us to get away with our 4 and 5 yr olds but it's just been a giant headache and multiple trips back to CW for repairs. We recently purchased the Extended Service Agreement and Wheel and Tire plan but haven't received anything, not even a receipt. Is anyone else having this many issues with this company as a whole.

We've had no problems with our new trailer, but we didn't buy it from CW.  I've been frustrated with Good Sam's website and customer service.

Where are you located, please.

so sorry for all problems. Sounds like a big yellow lemon

Hello,

This is Shayna and Pete we just bought our first travel trailer. We bought a 2022 Grand design imagine and are going on our first trip today. We decided to do a 20 minute from home site  to be safe in case what can go wrong does go wrong! We love to travel and have been all over the US for music festivals and site seeing. We recently did a stay in Vegas to see SOAD and visited Zion, The Grand Canyon, and Petrified Forest. We drove from east Texas to all of these places and stayed at an air b&b. This trip was our deciding factor to take the leap and by the travel trailer. Cannot wait to meet more of you and hear about your journeys!

Hello campers,

I ended up on this forum after being a member of RV.net for years. We used to own a Jayco Designer 12F5 popup but sold it a few years ago during the COVID era.  We just doesn't use the camper that much anymore. So, we let it go to a young family who would use it. It's been awhile since I've been to the forum and was surprised to see RV.net is now good Sam. Still getting used to the new page. Anyway, I may have a chance to buy a 32ft travel trailer that is currently on a lot in a resort on a lake. All of our children have graduated high school and now it's just me, the wife and our 20 year old son who still lives at home. Camping on a lot will be way different than pulling our popup from site to site. But I can't pass up this deal for a summer vacation spot on a lake that we can use anytime... Not just one week per summer like we do when renting a cabin. I can't wait!

Angela and Ross here. We bought our 2022 Forest River 27RK two years ago, and now that we are both retired we are starting out on our dream journey we have been planning since we signed on the dotted line in March 2022. We are heading out on the 26th of June 2024 and travelling to every province in Canada and state in the United States - yes we did Hawaii in November - without our trailer. We won't be returning home until the 30th of August 2025.  If you are out there let us know, looking to connect with other travellers.

wow!  That sounds like a grand adventure. Only advice I would offer is stay flexible, there will be “bumps” in the road.

What a grand plan! I'd start north and work my way south in the fall.

Regards, Don
My ride is a 28 foot Class C, 256 watts solar, 556 amp-hours of Telcom jars, 3000 watt Magnum hybrid inverter, Sola Basic Autoformer, Microair Easy Start.

That is what we are doing, we have some of our schedule on our website ourlifeandahighway.com and will be adding more of the schedule once we hit the road.  Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, as most of our campgrounds listed are tentative and what we have found on line.
