Just a thought...when our boxer had arthrithis, the vet suggested the glucosamine/chondroitin route. Said he was more than willing to sell us the vet version, but the human versions were just as good (and cheaper). He liked the Wal-Mart brand Spring Valley and the Costco brand. Said that in independent lab tests that these two were the most consistent with what was in the supplement as was said on their labels. Our dog did just fine (got better) on the Wal-Mart brand.
