Had a fun experience today, my husband decided he's not getting enough exercise sitting in his recliner all day, so we went for a long walk. During the walk we came across a bloodhound (one of our neighbors has a breeding pair and lets them wander, I don't agree with letting his dogs run loose, but it is a very rural area with no traffic and all the homes are on a minimum of 5 acres, so it's relatively save). Anyway, the dog walked with us for a while and followed us home. He was soooo sweet and cute! He had a collar, but no tag so I called him Buster Brown. He explored our property and visited with Wolfie through the fence. Finally after a while, he trotted down the lane. It's nice to enjoy such a simple thing. Surprisingly, he didn't even try to chase the squirrels we feed that tend to get too close to dogs. He sure had fun following his nose everywhere - bloodhounds certainly are an interesting breed.
