Tent camping since 1943, bought first RV, a VW Westfalia camper conversion van in 1968.

Current rig is Class A.

Retired.

Myself, DW, 75 lb dog.

Weeks/months at a time.

Either FHU, partial hookups, state/national parks or boondocking as our mood and destination call for.

Destinations are often chosen on a whim and are subject to change while underway.

If I could start over, I would have saved more money sooner and retired earlier!

Fishing, Antique shopping, sightseeing.
biggest reason is to get away and see Relatives, oversee property, and make friends. We enjoy just having a meal together and cards etc, fishing and so on.
A big part too is traveling to places finding our Ancestors old haunts and homes and graves, trails they traveled and the history.
Just kicking back and doing nothing ranks right up there too.

Bought 1st Class C in 2002, sold it in 2004; then bought enclosed race trailer with "pop-up" level of interior accommodations; bought current Class C in 2011.

Still very much working.

Anywhere from 2 to 4, plus the old German Shepard hound on occasion. When we are full-up in only 24', it takes putting up with togetherness and cooperation.

The longest trip has been a week; the shortest a bunch of overnights. The average is about 4 days.

The usual use is as a race track home base dry camping in the paddock, and also as a tow vehicle for the car and trailer. We do like state park camping in shoulder seasons which is spectacular. Nothing like having hundreds or thousands of acres to yourself.

I wished I'd bought a unit like I now have (24' E450) back in '02. Shopping used C's then, all I was finding were 21' (really small) and 29' (big); bought a bigger one, and it was OK but not a perfect fit for us, and just old enough that I had concerns about keeping it long term without needing to fix even more than I did. The one we now have is a compromise but does do exactly what we were after in an RV.

How long have you been RVing. Tenting since 1985. Pop-up in 1992. TT's from 1997 to present.
Your current rig type. Travel trailer - 28', no slide.
Still working or retired. Working :M
How many people and pets in the rig. Two humans, two parakeets.
Weekends, weeks, months or full time. For the moment, weekends, but normally a mix of weekend and weeks at a time.
FHU, state/national parks, boondocking. DW insists on FHU.
Destination? CG or what's in the area around the CG? Both.
If you could start over, what would you change? Skip the pop-up.

Just the two of us -- no kids and we leave the cats at home. ๐Ÿ™‚
Mostly a few weekends and maybe a week or so for vacations.
We usually stay in state parks. If they are full, we'll use a KOA or RV park
Most trips are close to home so we just find a campground to use as home base for some day trips.
If I could start over, I would have filed an insurance claim when we left the awning up and it got flipped over the roof during a brief storm. The dealer missed a crack in the roof and the wall and floor were nearly destroyed by the time we noticed in the spring after a wet Northwest winter.

RV'd 20 years ago with 3 kids (3 TT's - S, M then L) then quit. Started back in 2012 with a bigger TT.
Current rig is a FW (see signature line)
Retired twice, but still working, but VERY close to fully retiring - could happen any day now if things at work stay like they are today! ๐Ÿ™‚
Camp with DW and 2 rescue dogs.
Mostly camp weekends, but try to do at least a full week each year.
Mostly camp in a nearby state park on a lake with FHUs.
The destination is usually the park with short exursions outside it.
If I could start over I would start with a bigger RV. We went S, M then L.

Still working, like job too much to think about stopping now, have 5 weeks of vacation plus all holidays and weekends.
Just the two of us mostly
Used to go for 2-3 weeks per year with the occasional weekend.
Will only go with FHU or water and electric, did the Nascar with gens and on board water, too much trouble, and not doing without electricity, need the a/c.
Like staying near the ocean, since moving here we are here, so have not been out with the RV in the last year or so, but will start again soon.
Wish I would have gotten the Super Duty diesel from the start.
