What's behind the name? Screen name that is.

I have often wondered how some of the members came up with their screen name, some are obvious :C and others are totally :?. I know that since sooo many names are already taken we have to be creative to find one that is available.

I'll start with the story of Spott, OK, not really a story but as they say a picture is worth lots-O-words. I would have use a single "t" but that was already taken (and never used).

This is our dog Spot, he is now 11 years old, he likes to camp and he loves the water.

I have always been told I have an intense personality and treat jobs like I'm on some kind of mission..

When I joined this forum I had no experience with truck campers, it looked like a difficult mission to plan and research the right truck and camper for my application..

and I always liked that Jim Phelps character who always planned the missions on the original Mission Impossible TV show..

Mine comes from the inability to be imaginative. I like to restore old John Deere garden tractors in my spare time and they are green and yellow as I'm sure most if not all of you know so I took the first letter from each color and the year of the tractor I was working on at the time when I started with this screen name 5 or 6 years ago on different message board and it has stuck with me. Not real exciting but a very interesting thread none the less.

A long time ago I saw a guy doing all kinds of fancy moves and cracks with a bullwhip and thought it would be neat to learn how to do that. So I bought my first whip and a couple of videos, practiced movements and targeting daily, and promptly earned the nickname. A couple years ago when camping with a group of friends the name was resurrected when a bear roamed into the area where we were camping and a couple cracks of the whip sent her running, and it's stuck ever since.
