I agree that if you're planning to do Zion and Bryce from one base then stay at Bryce (Ruby's RV) and day trip to Zion. Bryce will be cooler and then you can sitesee up Hwy 12 - beautiful drive!!

Otherwise, your trip sounds perfect as long as you're comfortable with the miles, distance and heat. You're giving the girls a great memory!!
