6.9 Earthquake felt in Mexico City

9/07/2021 at 20:47:47 a preliminary 6.9 quake was felt in the area of Acapulco.

14 kilometers South East from Acapulco and shallow and felt in Mexico City.

I was preparing a late snack when heard noise behind me, "thought" what is the cat doing so turn around and see a door moving back and forth and some cooking utensils swaying, O.K. it is an earthquake and it was long!

I hope no one is hurt, and to top it off it is raining, been raining all day on and off, and flooding in Ecatepec, if any of you felt it let me know here.

Oficial count 7.1 and a 5.2 at 21:16 aftershock.

Where I live the ground is the side of one of the 127 volcanos surrounding the City very hard rock, "Ciudad Satelite" so the quakes need to be above 6.5 to be felt, standing up I do not feel them sitting down yes because the chair moves.

Here in Zihuatanejo, it was a very gentle roll, not long. None of the regular noises.
