- ACZLExplorerCannot speak for Rte 37, but you can take Rte 12 north up and "around" the top (will have to p/u another rte) and pass by Massena and the locks/hydro plants, then past the Awkwasani Indian Rez/casino enroute to Champlain NY and take Rte 2(2) across bridge to Rouses Point, then south towards Burlington. No tolls or low bridges (that I know of). Last I knew, decent roads.
- phil-tExplorerWe live in Ogdensburg, NY, on Rt.37 (35 mi. north of the Bay. Often travel to VT, NH,MA, and ME via Burlington, VT. 37 is a decent road with no problems for your rig.
37 and 11 to Rouses Pt, to Swanton, VT and south on I89.
Google Maps will plot you a couple of options, they are all good, except that one of them will take you to Plattsburg, NY and the Champlain Ferry. You can do that if you want, we only use the ferry if driving the car. RV goes through Rouses Pt.
Ask any questions you might have. Good luck in your travels. - JoeHExplorer IIIThanks for the info... sounds like a good road. We'll be heading to bar Harbor after Burlington
- phil-tExplorerWe just left Boothbay Harbor area. I have a sister that lives there in Bayville, on the coast; she put in a parking spot for our ClassA.:)
If you like traveling interstates, I-89 south in VT is a great highway, not a ton of traffic until you hit Concord and 93, take 101 to 95 and head north, all decent roads. Most of the local roads around that area are OK but a bit twisty and up and down. Cabelas, just off 95 at Scarboro has a dump sation and water, if needed. If the dump station is not unlocked, go inside and ask for the code.
