These routes look fine. I-95 in RI is 2 lanes but not much traffic. As a more scenic alternative, you could pick up US 1 in Rhode Island and take the Newport Bridges up to Melville Ponds. Rt 1 goes down the RI shoreline and you might see Taylor Swift :)
