Aurora forecast is high for Wednesday -- envious sigh

Lookin' good for Wednesday -- and here I sit at 32 degrees of latitude. And hope for an Arctic trip this year is fading, due to family circumstances (ill health of elderly relatives).

Oh, well. At least the surf is decent during the autumn. That is some consolation.

Maybe some of you lucky Northerners will snag some great photos, so the rest of us can peek over your shoulders.

The aurora has been very good for the past couple of weeks.

Unfortunately, there's still daylight in the sky at 10 p.m. when I head to bed and I'm too lazy to get up at midnight to look out the window.
