Best road...SoCal to Cincinnatti

I40/44 (old 66) or I80. I70 a little too steep for my taste. Looking for road in best condition/repair. Leaving in a week. Thanks.

Thanks 5thwheeler....For summer travel, I keep thinking to go north to 70 or 80. We will be coming back via the Black Hills so, will certainly take 80 then. I think 40/44 it is. Thanks again

We've used I-40 mostly to go to Calif. Only steep portion is between Kingman and Flagstaff, and that's not really bad at all. Well, there is a steep stretch going east from Barstow, just before you get to the river, but not bad either. Highway generally in good shape. I-10 is good too, but hot this time of year and probably out of the way for you.
