Best Route from La Quinta, CA to San Diego, CA
What is the best route from La Quinta to San Diego? We are new to RVing and want to travel the safe and best roads in our Class C 24 foot coach. Thanks for your thoughts.

- I 8 has a pretty good grade after leaving Ocotillo plus you can hit some pretty good cross winds in places before you drop out of the Lagunas.
If it was me I'd take the 10 to the 79 in Beaumont then down to the 215 to the 15, or 10 to the 60 to the 215 to the 15, either way would be a lot easier then driving the 8 - Thanks for the tips...very helpful!

Flat and straight, CA86S/I-8W;
Curvy and picturesque, CA86/CA78/I-15S;
Quick and easy I-10W/I-215S/I-15S
Your choice....Dennis - Take the 86 to Brawley, 111 to El Centro and I-8 West. This is "best" if you want relatively flat and straight.
