Best Route: Palmdale to San Diego, avoiding LA

Trying to avoid the nightmare of driving thru LA. Out of Palmdale 14 to 210 to 15 looks good. Then I spotted 138 to 15. Also looks good, just not freeway. Does it connect after the hill? Towing at 35 ...

Sweet shortcut. Used it several times. Expect some congestion on 15 as you get closer to San Diego, depending on the time of day, but nothing like LA congestion. Go for it.
