What is best best route from Eureka California to Grants Pass Oregon

We have pulled our 35' fifth wheel many times from Eureka to Crescent City. No issues. Beautiful country. Never been on Hwy 199.

Unless "best" means the scenic route in and around the mountains and rivers, then yes, it would be the route Old-muffin, I mean, Old-Biscuit mentioned.

For us it would be 101-N to Crescent City then 199 to Grants Pass

But we enjoy secondary/backroads and stay off Interstates as much as possible
