At the moment, the only requirement for visitors to the US is a negative antigen test or a proof that you recovered from Covid in the last 90 days. Will they require a proof of vaccination when/if they open the land border - possibly, but there isn't even approximate date of reopening. In several months from now a lot of things may change.

Sinovac is not approved by the U.S. and 13 million doses were administered in Mexico. Now they say it is not effective after six months and the secretary of health announced that there will be no boosters.

Does this mean that Mexicans vaccinated with Sinovac will not be able to visit the U.S.?

Children will not be vaccinated.

Which jab will work for you?

There are over 20 covid vaccines available worldwide. TWENTY brand new vaccines approved one place or another on the planet. When you want to travel you will have to get a jab that country demands.

Why not take them all to be sure? Mix and match?

There are no requirements of any kind for entering Mexico.

If you are flying to the US from any international destination, you must show proof of a negative test within three days of your arrival in the US.

That being said, we have had several friends fly from here to both Los Angeles and Texas and the airline never asked them for their proof of testing.

You got it. Its approved in Canada. However, that being said, the AstraZeneca (AZ) deployment was a real mess. If you had your primer dose of AZ in Canada, your booster became a choice (ie. you could get your booster as AZ, or Moderna, or Pfizer).

Many Canadians that felt they were coerced by the Canadian Feds into "getting the first vaccine that was offered", became extremely angry when the same Canadian Feds came back and said, "....if you had AZ as your primer, you could choose any other vaccine available...." (this could have been because: a) the supply of AZ at that time was extremely unreliable; or, B) "other" (ie. backlash because of potential for death from a known side-effect)

I think there is a 95% chance the border restrictions will remain the same as today for the next winter season. Even with the jabs, the restrictions probably will get even tighter.
