There have been lots of news articles about services taking RV's across the border (say to Buffalo NY) while their owners take a helicopter or plane to Buffalo and then drive their RV to the southern US.

Here is a link that gives various options for cars and RV's.

I just called the Pembina ND office . Got a short answer. YES. I asked if that was OK. YES. I asked if there would be any probls. NO. Those answers are verbatim. Je only spoke those answers. But he hesitated as of he did not want to answer Might work for some people. But remember the driver has to get somewhere Sounfs doable but the logistics could be tricky. If the American comes to Canada he has to be vaccinated and have a pcr test within 72 hours of arrival into Canada. Some entrepreneur could make good money. The Canadian still has to fly to the USA. Interesting.

I'm reading yes, but it needs to be taken to somewhere they can fly into. Canadians can't walk or drive across the US border, at least until October 21. It could change then, who knows?

It would seem that the transport would only have to be over the border so would not entail long distances. My neighbors had a 40' MH but now have purchased a large fifth wheel. I wonder if it could be carried on a flatbed?

I've been curious too about exactly who can drive across the border from Canada into the US.

It seems as though a US citizen could drive back from Canada in any type of legal vehicle, have their Canadian friends fly to whatever airport and that would do it.

Is this the case? If so, it's time for Canadian RVer's to call in favors!!!

My Canadian snowbird next-door neighbors have been unable to see their home in over a year and they are fully vaccinated. Someone above mentioned the option of hiring someone to drive an RV over the border while they fly across. How does that work? Would it be considered commercial traffic? I've been writing my Congressman and Senators about this on my neighbors' behalf but have heard nothing about the prospect of border reopening to Canadians other than the monthly setback.

That said, it is very clear that the Can-Am border closure is not about COVID when tens of thousands of immigrants are pouring into the country who are neither required to be tested nor to vaccinate.

I was responding to what you wrote moisheh. The quote I pulled ("These professionals think that an annual shot may be required. If that is what it takes to stay healthy what is the big deal. We get an annual flu shot") was yours. You brought it up and are upset that it was responded to. That's how folks silence others.

Unfortunately there are 2 forum members that cannot suppress their thoughts on covid. The discussions about border crossings and Silver's extensive list of transport companies are great.

....this is probably not the right Forum to debate "do I get a Covid vaccination? Or, not?).....however, if anyone wants a primer on the 6 lessons learned in Israel vis the Pfizer mRNA deployment, and why Israel has such a high infection rate today, I suggest reading this NPR synopsis here-->

....now, con permiso, may we get back to the regularly-scheduled programming: RVing in Mexico?

"These professionals think that an annual shot may be required. If that is what it takes to stay healthy what is the big deal. We get an annual flu shot"
For most of us required vaccinations ended when we graduated from university. Upon adulthood vaccinations became a personal choice which we could either take or not take (not counting military service). Annual flu shots rarely (as in never) worked for me. I was never an anti-vaxer in the past and recently (2019 &2020) did take the two shingles shots. The mRNA vaccines should not be confused with vaccinations we are accustomed to. The mRNA vaccines not only have proven to not do what they were said to do (look at Israel's current situation) but also have near term risks and long term unknowns. Social and news media have controlled the public's understanding of the risk and failures but those voices can be heard by widening one's scope. Reports of adverse reactions should not be dismissed as easily as is now the practice.
These are "big deals" for me.

Prior renters of our apartment here in Zihuatanejo who went home and bought a 39 foot 5th wheel, I just sent the list of transporters to. They said that they had already seen the list and literally every one was booked solid and they are now looking for an apartment for 5 months. A little late for that....

....Moderna is on its NDC (new development candidate) Covid+Flu mRNA-1073 vaccine. Plus, an BLA rolling submission application to license its mRNA-1273 Covid booster has been completed in the US. The 1st Cohort (of a 2 cohort study), will "provide rapid information about the immunogenicity of mRNA-1273.351 in a previously vaccinated group. This cohort can inform near term public health decisions if the variant virus becomes more widespread". This may mean emergency approval shortly.

Clinical Trials: here-->

Many of the epidemiologists I am following are predicting an end to this sars-cov-2 pandemic by early winter this year, and the start of the endemic (phases) where geographically specific endemicity will persist (mostly in 3rd World locales) where Covid vaccination has all but failed (several African States).

...can someone in Ontario, in Alberta and in BC also put together comprehensive lists of RV shipping companies with cross-border flights to retrieve your RV ?

....there is absolutely no reason based on science and virology that could be used to close ground borders to fully-vaccinated Mexicans inbound by road from Mexico with legal authority to drive across, and, for that matter fully-vaccinated Canadians wanting to drive into the US (and further, into Mexico). ZERO reason at this juncture. The US is technically breaking the rules of reciprocity now with its immediate neighbors; the US has gone rogue.

Canada opened their land borders to inbound US citizens, now lets get the US side opened, both on the Mexico frontier, and Canada.
