Campgrounds Ellensburg WA to Kamloops BC

We are starting in Bend , OR and our destination is Kamloops , BC .
Are there open campgrounds along this route .
I would prefer state , county, or federal campgrounds if possible .
I just need a place to rest , maybe get a shower , for the enroute trip .
I think I will go via hwy 97 rather than do the I-5 from Portland to Vancouver , BC .
Unless there are more open campsites using the Portland Seattle corridor .
Possibly the stretch between Ellensburg WA to Princeton BC is of the most interest .
Can anybody help ?

Confluence Park in Wenachee is a good one, easy in and out, showers, nice little wildlife refuge to stroll thru to get some exercise.

If you use the good sam search engine for finding campground the season they are open is always listed I have found them to be 100% accurate
Under Park Features select "open all year"

The east side is in full bloom now and the camp grounds are open. we were over last weekend.

There's a pass on the 1st leg north of Ellensburg (Blewett), From there it follows the Columbia and then the Okanogan. Towns and orchards are more dense north of the border.

The Forest Service campgrounds in this area are off in the mountains, on smaller roads. Check the respective ranger districts for openings. Concessionaire operated ones are still closed. US Park Service operates inexpensive campgrounds behind Grand Coulee Dam (further east)

NC Region

There is a popular state park on Lake Chelan. Alta Lake State Park further north was burned last summer.

There are also COE or county operated ones along the river, esp. behind the dams.

I know there is a county one on US2/97 just east of Wenatchee.
Wenatchee River Co park (just opened for season)

So there are most options along the Columbia north of Wenachee, and fewer choices as US97 continues upriver from the Columbia.

Osoyoos Lake State Park has been transfered to the town of Oroville. And a popular BC prov. park just over the border.

Google maps, "Camp grounds Wa." move the map around until you see Highway 97 enlarge to see each along the way.
