Camping near Lunenburg NS?

Hi all, I'm driving from Maine to Nova Scotia. We have some relatives just south of Luneburg. I know where the campground is right in Luneburg and the Ovens campground is but where else in the area is decent? Any place to boondock? We plan on being there early July. Thanks.

Stayed at the campground on top of the hill. Easy walk into town. LaHave bakery is a great stop.

Thanks for the input. Looks like a few days at the Ovens campground and the rest of the week in Lunenburg. Looking forward to it.

We did the Lunenburg CG at the top of the hill later May last year. Just about had the place to ourselves but we were early. Easy enough walk to the waterfront.

You can stay in the woods or right on the Ocean, a nice cool beach there also.

This is a nice little place, you can take the ferry at East Lahave to West Lahave, stop at the Lahave Bakery in West Lahave for a lunch .

It is across the Lahave River from your relatives if they are south of Lunenburg.

The size of your RV will determine boondocking, there are many places for a truck camper or class B...

I was hoping for first hand accounts of campgrounds and maybe some nice boondocking spots.
